Arguably Shakespeare's most famous play, Romeo & Juliet is perfect for any young audience thanks to elements of melodrama, tragedy and romance, to which young people can easily relate through the experiences of the two teenage protagonists.
This one-man-show, with multiple characters and a wealth of audience participation, focuses on the melodramatic nature of the story which reflects the turbulent and emotional nature of adolescence. The show aims to present one of Shakespeare's most famous plays in a context that both captivates and entertains students while proving the contemporary relevance of the works of England's most famous playwright: 'The Bard'.
